Bridging the gap between worship service and small group has become a deliberate goal at Good Shepherd. The church of several thousand people offers what it calls “mini-churches”—gatherings of 50 to 200 people based on station of life. Mini churches have been key to ushering people into weekly small groups, which are the lifeline of the congregation and the key to retaining visitors to the church.
